Robbery - Case No. 100469
July 24, 2010
Stonington : Stonington

Case Details:
On 07/24/10 at approximately 10:00 AM, the Stonington Police Department responded to the Citizen’s Bank at 23 Broadway in Mystic for a reported bank robbery. On arrival the suspect had fled the area. A witness described the suspect vehicle as being a white, possibly four door vehicle with a registration of 9421C8, or something similar. The witness was unsure of the state. The plate has been run several different ways with no information found or similar to the described vehicle. Subsequent investigation indicated that the suspect had entered the bank, jumped over the teller counter, took cash from two teller stations before jumping back over the teller stations and leaving the bank. Prior to the suspect fleeing the bank parking lot, at least one, and possibly two red colored dye packs detonated, possibly leaving red dye on the suspect and in the suspect vehicle. The suspect is described as being a black male, 25-35 years old, 5’10” to 6’ tall, medium build, wearing a long sleeve red colored shirt, Red Sox baseball cap, dark colored pants and sneakers.
